When buying a new home, it is important to know that the electrical system, wiring and accessories are all in good working order. A faulty system can have a risk of personal injury, as well as possible cost implications in the future if electrical work is required.
Our special Home Buyer Reports include a full inspection and testing of the fixed wiring of a property including:
Highlight any lack of earthing or earth bonding
Consumer unit
Reveal if any electrical circuits or equiptment are overloaded
Find any potential shock and fire hazards in the installation
Identify any defective DIY electrical work
Damage to cables, sockets, switches etc
Full instrument test of the circuits
A 7 page high quality, colour and bounded report will be provided together with a comprehensive photographic record of the electrical installation and any defects or items of non-complianceOur reports are highly regarded and are accepted by all major banks and insurance companies and are trusted by surveyors, leading bluechip companies and law firms.
Following the survey, you will be provided with a minimum of a 7 page report highlighting any areas of concern along with a priority rating between 1 and 4. These figures refer to the following status:
Requires urgent attention
Require improvement
Requires further investigation
Does not comply with BS7671: 2008 (this does not necessarily imply that the installation is unsafe)We can also provide a written quotation for any work required.
Providing additional support to homebuyers
XS Engineering understands that moving home can be a stressful time, and so we can offer additional support to help the process. We offer a same day service for urgent inspections, and we can collect keys from estate agents or arrange a suitable time for the inspection. Following the inspection, we can also send the report to multiple recipients by post and email.
